Transitioning entirely to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) will be critical to achieve long-term climate stabilization goals. With rapid urbanization, growing air pollution, concerns about fossil fuel, and the availability of inexpensive renewables, governments around the globe are increasingly looking to electrify transport. A critical foundation for a mainstream ZEV market is the infrastructure to power the ZEVs, including plug-in electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Having sufficient charging and refueling infrastructure helps link ZEVs to renewable energy sources, grow the ZEV market, and spur greater zero-emission vehicle travel.

This event, hosted by the International ZEV Alliance, will introduce why ZEVs are a critical element to governments’ decarbonization strategies and provide a platform for international exchange on the deployment of infrastructure to help pave the way. Leaders from several top ZEV markets around the world will discuss progress, lessons learned, and key remaining challenges to steer the transition to all ZEVs.
